Flying is safer than driving

Flying is safer than driving, even during the pandemic. These statistics show why. | Washington Post

The Covid-19 pandemic has impacted our lives, but it will soon be a memory.  On the other hand,  the carnage on our roads will persist.  Instead of addressing the root cause of high insurance premiums -namely the frequency and severity of MVCs – the NDP savaged the ability of good drivers to recover their hopes and lives from bad drivers through the courts.  They consolidated power by holding a mid pandemic election. Then they abused this power by breaking election promises legislating a power shift.  Power has been taken from individuals and given it to ICBC.

Bad drivers can look forward to receiving “enhanced care” regardless as to who or how they hurt their victims.   A bad driver can now run a light, mow down pedestrians, and injure himself by taking out a lamp post.  Under the Eby/Horgan plan, he will be able to recover his “enhanced”  benefits.   The injured pedestrians will not be able to access full compensation for their losses by way of damages. A court award of damages, geared toward respecting and restoring the dignity of the innocent victim,  has been abolished by the NDP.  Instead,  the innocent victim will receive welfare-type benefits on par with the bad driver.  BC is in a race to the bottom.
